If you are looking for a tennis holiday but are not that good as a player, head off to the La Manga Club Resort and get in on in their world-class tennis courts. Don’t be afraid if you do not know how to play because the resort advocates “tennis for everyone” which means that they have programs that will help you.
For your La Manga tennis holiday, you have 28 courts to choose from. They have 20 clay courts, which were supposed to be the hardest surface to play on, 4 hard courts and 4 grass courts. They also have a paddle tennis court as well as an equipment shop in case you need additional accessories and supplies.
Although the venue has been used in national competitions, don’t get intimidated because the club offers tutorials and lessons that will help you improve your game. I actually enrolled in La Manga tennis academy and vastly improved my game. Anyone can enroll, even kids as young as 3 years old. Actually, I enrolled my five-year-old in a basics lesson while we were there
The adult academy program offers two-hours on-court coaching from Monday to Friday. Each day offers a different lesson so if you feel that you already know that part, you can skip that lesson and do another activity in the resort. I, for one, took the Tuesday class, which taught backhands and second serve as well as the Thursday class, which had transition games and doubles tactics. One should not miss the Friday class because this is the day when they summarize everything and get their tutees to apply the concepts in their games.
