I am a sports enthusiast and overseas holidays often frustrate me because all I get to do is swim, go to museums, sightsee and take photos. When I found out that we will be staying for a couple of days at the La Manga Club Resort, I groaned and slapped my head. Not again! I said to myself.
It was only when I researched it that I learned that it was a place I would gladly live in for weeks. Trust me; I could not stop grinning as I read about one sports facility after another. It was a dream holiday and I just could not believe that my wife and kids would book for us to stay there.
Well, when we were there, I learned that we each had something to love about the place. I, being the sporty guy, stayed all day at the fairways and the cricket field. I even played tennis even though I wasn’t really into tennis. The court was just too beautiful to pass up. Although the beach was gorgeous, I avoided it like the plague, concentrating instead on the sports facilities. It is not every day that I get to go on holiday and do sports every day! In other words, I milked the stay at La Manga Resort for all its sports worth!
My kids of course also had the time of their lives at the kid’s pool and the wall climbing arena. They also snorkeled and received sports training on golf. They even joined me at the golf course for one round of swinging clubs. I enjoyed the stay so much; I did not even realize it was already time to go!
