If you’re going to Spain for a few weeks, check out the La Manga Resort in Murcia. It is the most heavenly place I have ever been to and that’s saying much since I am a travel nut and have been in several places around the world.
I just recently came back from La Manga holidays and I am well satisfied with the experience. The place can be pricey (it is after all a five-star luxury resort) but what you pay will be worth it. The facilities are the best that I have seen so far in Spain. The resort actually offers something for everybody. This is why families often come there for some La Manga Holidays. The dads would often be seen hanging out at the golf courses and at the cricket fields while their wives are in the beach or at the spa facilities. The kids are probably lounging in the play area or at the snorkeling part of the beach. My older kids for instance loved the wall climbing area while the young ones won’t leave the kiddie pool and the playground.
We stayed at the villas, which is more ideal for big families. It has the same air of luxury as the hotel rooms but with the villas, you have the sense of home away from home. The villas are inside the resort, part of a village that has its own facilities like swimming pools and small golf course Thus, even when it’s late at night, you can still use them without having to walk far. The La Manga Spa facilities are even located at the heart of the village.
